Because I need to use disposable for my son and daughter in law I do use plastic freezer bags. I have the same concern using plastic, but I don’t have an alternate for them. I weigh this out by knowing they are at least eating healthier, by eliminating processed foods like Ramen etc.  For my husband and I , I use the reusable silicone bags. You can find them for less on Amazon. And I use glass containers for freezing leftovers.
