I am wondering what freezer bags to buy. Does FreezerFit have their own bags they recommend and sell, or should I just og to Amazon and find some I like. I already have the bag stands.

I have used Kroger brand and they work just fine. Ziplock brand is heavier though if you’re worried about them leaking. I’ve never tried the reusable ones. I worry they are too hard to wash.

I use vacuum sealer bags.  I have used the vacuum sealer for years. Works great with the meals.

I use the freezer bags sold on the website and absolutely love them! They are durable and reusable!

When I first joined FreezerFit a few years ago, they recommended the “SPLF” silicone reusable freezer bags on Amazon. Those have been very durable and the seals still work well, but now I prefer to use disposable bags for meals with raw meat. The reusable bags aren’t super hard to clean, but it’s a bit difficult to get into the corners. If you do buy the SPLF brand, be aware that there is a non-silicone version too — those are much thinner and are more like the disposable bags. I accidentally bought those once, so I returned them and bought more of the silicone ones.

Because I buy in bulk, I use vacuum sealer bags for everything that I’m planning on leaving in the freezer for a while, and zipper top bags for fruits that I harvest and use daily for smoothies and such.

I’m planning on getting some silicone zipper top bags soon, since I hate having to add more plastic to the rubbish.

I like to use ziplock. I also reuse them if aren’t stained. It can be a pain to clean sometimes though.

Those who vacuum seal. Do you make the bag bigger? How do you do it when it’s really wet? Do you assemble the meal in the stand the transfer to the sealer? Thanks!

I had a problem with my Ziploc bags leaking so I actually switched to larger deli style plastic containers. They are easy to wash. The biggest problem is that they take up more room but the size is perfect to fit into the instant pot when frozen.

I use disposable freezer bags, because my kids are small i don’t have the time and energy to wash re usable bags but i might look into it in a few years time 😉
