Delicious Keto Bolognese Freezer Meal Recipe

Keto Bolognese

Hey there! Today I want to share with you one of my favorite freezer meals: Keto Bolognese. This recipe is delicious and hearty, and super easy to make ahead and freeze for those busy weeknights.

Bolognese is a classic Italian meat sauce that is usually served over pasta. However, this keto version swaps out the pasta for low-carb options like cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles, making it a healthier option without sacrificing flavor. The combination of ground beef, tomato sauce, and Italian seasonings creates a rich and savory sauce that is perfect for any meat lover.

Now, let’s talk about why this recipe is healthy. With only 5 grams of net carbs per serving, this Keto Bolognese is a great option for anyone following a low-carb or keto diet. It’s also gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free, making it an excellent option for anyone with dietary restrictions. Plus, by using high-quality ingredients like grass-fed beef and extra virgin olive oil, you can feel good about what you’re putting into your body.

You can make a big batch of Keto Bolognese on the weekend and then portion it out for lunches or dinners throughout the week. It’s a hearty and filling meal that will keep you satisfied for hours.

With some keto-friendly side dishes, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that is healthy and flavorful. Try a combination of these:

1. Zucchini Noodles: Zucchini noodles, also known as zoodles, are a great low-carb alternative to traditional pasta. They can be spiralized and then sautéed in a little bit of olive oil until tender. Serve them alongside your Bolognese for a complete meal.

2. Cauliflower Rice: Cauliflower rice is another low-carb option that pairs well with Bolognese. You can make your own by pulsing cauliflower florets in a food processor until they are the size of rice grains. Then, sauté the cauliflower rice in a bit of butter or olive oil until tender.

3. Steamed Vegetables: Steamed vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, or green beans are a great way to add color and nutrition to your plate. Simply steam the vegetables until tender, then season with salt and pepper.

4. Salad: A simple side salad is always a great option to serve alongside Bolognese. You can use any combination of greens and vegetables you like, and then dress it with a keto-friendly dressing like olive oil and vinegar.

5. Garlic Bread: While traditional garlic bread is not keto-friendly, you can make a low-carb version using almond flour or coconut flour. Simply mix together the flour with garlic powder, salt, and melted butter, and then bake in the oven until golden brown.

Go ahead and make a batch of Keto Bolognese for your family today. You won’t regret it!

We have tested this recipe for a serving size of 6. If you are cooking for less than 6 people, decrease the amount of liquid and the cook time. If you are cooking for more than 6 people, increase the amount of liquid and the cook time. Do this and your meals will NEVER turn out dry or mushy. Happy Cooking!
